Do you have a teacher or a coach?
I used to think coaches and mentors were overrated, until I started embarking on a journey that needed guidance and direction.
What is the difference between a Coach and a Mentor?
Coaching is task oriented. Coaching focuses on concrete issues, such as managing yourself or business more effectively, speaking more articulately, and learning how to think strategically and or getting over your limiting beliefs. Coaches are more like a content expert who can teach the you how to develop these type of skills.
Mentoring is relationship oriented. Mentors seek to provide a safe environment where the mentored shares whatever issues affect his or her professional and personal success. Although specific learning goals or competencies may be used as a basis for creating the relationship, its focus goes beyond these areas to include things, such as work/life balance, self-confidence, self-perception, and how the personal influences the professional.
Depending on your needs, choose what will work for you.
When you are building a business or brand, it is important to get yourself a coach to assist you with working effectively while avoiding unnecessary mistakes and reinventing the wheel.
Coaches help you;
- Identify and focus on what’s important, which accelerates your success.
- Good coaches help you clarify your mission or purpose,
- Identify gaps between where you are and where you want or need to be.
- Reach your potential
- Hold you accountable and
- Assist you with a success mindset and keep you motivated.
Every professional, whether they are in business, sports or music need a great coach to take them through the success process.
I have a couple of teachers and coaches that help me with my business and goals.

And remember it is not always necessary to meet your coaches and teachers face to face. With the internet these days you can have access to these wonderful resources from the comfort of your home.
Through books, seminars and online platforms.
If you are serious about achieving something, don’t go at it alone, get help from those who have walked the same road.
Interesting fact; even coaches need coaches !!
“A good coach can change a game; a great coach can change a life.’’
