Picking the best name for your business

Choosing a name for your business can be quite stressful. I think even more stressful than naming your child!!

Your business is like your baby as well and most businesses reflect the owner’s personality or brand. If you are building a business that is going to last for decades you need to insure you have chosen, the right name that will represent your product or service properly.

Your name will be your brand.

A brand is a voice and a product is a souvenir. – Lisa Gansky

Having a name that reflects your brand will make it easier for people to identify or remember you or your business.

I also struggled to come up with names for some of my businesses, so I have researched a few criteria’s that will assist in making this process easier and bearable.

7 criteria’s you can use to come up with a perfect name for your online or offline business.

  1. Keep it short
  2. Easy to spell & remember
  3. Domain available
  4. Unique and not trade marked
  5. Related to product or service
  6. SEO friendly
  7. Matches brand and personality

Think long-term and think about how the sound of the name makes you feel?

Would you want to be associated with such a name?

Remember not to get stuck on this, if you cannot pick a name, you can always brainstorm with your partners, friends, colleagues or family.

Good luck and I hope you can come up with a BOMB DIGIDY name for your business.

Share some the criteria’s you use to come up with a perfect name for your biz.
